Psalm 109

The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies a footstool for thy feet. A rod of power shall the Lord send thee out of Zion; govern thou in the midst of thine enemies. With thee is dominion in the day of thy power, in the brightness of thy saints; out of the womb before the morning star have I begotten thee. The Lord hath sworn and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever, after the order of Melchisedech. The Lord at thy right hand hath crushed kings in the day of his wrath. He shall judge among the nations; He shall fill them with corpses; He shall crush the heads of many upon the earth. From the torrent in the way shall He drink; therefore He shall lift up his head.

Psalm 110

I will confess thee, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the upright and in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, sought out in his every will. Confession and magnificence is his work, and his righteousness remaineth unto ages of ages. He hath made a memorial of his wonders; merciful and compassionate is the Lord. He hath given food to them that fear him; He will remember his covenant for ever. The might of his works hath He declared unto his people, to give unto them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his commandments are faithful, established unto ages of ages, made in truth and uprightness. Redemption hath He sent unto his people; He commanded his covenant for ever; holy and fearful is his name. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a good understanding to all them that so do; and his praise remaineth unto ages of ages.

Psalm 111

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord; greatly will he delight in his commandments. Powerful in the earth shall his seed be; an upright generation shall be blessed. Glory and riches in his house, and his righteousness remaineth unto ages of ages. A light in the darkness hath sprung forth for the upright; he is merciful and compassionate and righteous. A good man is he that is compassionate and lendeth; he will dispose his words with judgment, for he will not be moved forever. The righteous shall be in eternal memory. He shall not fear evil tidings; his heart is ready to hope in the Lord. His heart is established; he shall not fear, until he look down upon his enemies. He hath scattered abroad; he hath given to the needy; his righteousness remaineth unto ages of ages. His horn shall be exalted in glory. The sinner shall see and be wroth; he shall gnash his teeth and pine away. The desire of the sinner shall perish.

Psalm 112

Praise the Lord, ye children; O praise ye the name of the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord, henceforth and forevermore. From the rising of the sun till its setting, the name of the Lord is praised. High above all the nations is the Lord, above the heavens his glory. Who is like unto the Lord our God? Who dwelleth on high, and who looketh down upon the humble in heaven and on earth. Who lifteth up the poor from the earth, and from the dunghill doth lift up the needy, to set him with princes, with princes of his people, who maketh the barren woman to dwell in a house, a mother rejoicing over children.

Psalm 113

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people, Judæa became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion. The sea saw and fled; Jordan was turned back. The mountains leaped like rams, and the hills like a flock of sheep. What aileth thee, O sea, that thou didst flee, and thee, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back; ye mountains, that ye leaped like rams, and ye hills, like a flock of sheep? At the presence of the Lord was the earth moved, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into lakes of water and the crag into fountains of water. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, because of thy mercy and truth, lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God? But our God hath done in heaven and on earth all things whatsoever He would. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men. They have a mouth and will not speak; eyes they have and will not see. They have ears and will not hear; noses they have and will not smell. They have hands and will not touch; feet they have and will not walk; neither will they speak with their throat. Let those that make them become like them, and all those that trust in them. The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord; their helper and defender is He. The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord; their helper and defender is He. They that fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord; their helper and defender is He. The Lord hath remembered us and hath blessed us; He hath blessed the house of Israel; He hath blessed the house of Aaron. He hath blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great. May the Lord increase you, you and your children. Blessed are ye of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. The heaven of heavens is of the Lord, but the earth hath He given to the children of men. The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord, neither all those that go down into hell. But we that live will bless the Lord, henceforth and forevermore.

Psalm 114

I have loved, because the Lord will hearken unto the voice of my prayer. For He hath inclined his ear unto me, and in my days will I call upon him. The pangs of death hath surrounded me; the dangers of hell have found me. Tribulation and sorrow have I found. And I called upon the name of the Lord: O Lord, deliver my soul. Merciful is the Lord and righteous; and our God showeth mercy. The Lord is the keeper of babes; I was humbled and He saved me. Return, O my soul, unto thy rest, for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. For He hath rescued my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from slipping. I will be well-pleasing before the Lord in the land of the living.

Psalm 115

I believed, wherefore I spake; I was humbled exceedingly. As for me, I said in mine ecstasy: Every man is a liar. What shall I render unto the Lord for all that He hath rendered unto me? I will take the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. My vows unto the Lord will I pay in the presence of all his people. Honorable before the Lord is the death of his saints. O Lord, I am thy servant; I am thy ser vant and the son of thy handmaid. Thou hast broken my bonds asunder. I will sacrifice a sacrifice of praise unto thee, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. My vows unto the Lord will I pay in the presence of all his people, in the courts of the house of the Lord, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.

Psalm 116

O praise the Lord, all ye nations; praise him, all ye people. For his mercy hath been confirmed upon us, and the truth of the Lord remaineth for ever.

Psalm 117

O confess unto the Lord, for He is good, for his mercy is for ever. Let the house of Israel now say, for He is good, for his mercy is for ever. Let the house of Aaron now say, for He is good, for his mercy is for ever. Let all those that fear the Lord now say, for He is good, for his mercy is for ever. Out of tribulation have I called upon the Lord, and He heard me, even releasing me. The Lord is my Helper, and I shall not fear what men shall do unto me. The Lord is my Helper, and I shall look down upon mine enemies. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to hope in the Lord than to hope in princes. All the nations compassed me about, and in the name of the Lord have I kept them back. Compassing me about they encompassed me, and in the name of the Lord have I kept them back. They encompassed me as bees do a honeycomb; they were inflamed like fire amid thorns, and in the name of the Lord have I kept them back. I was pushed and overturned, that I might fall, and the Lord succored me. My might and my song is the Lord, and He is become my salva tion. The voice of joy and salvation in the tabernacles of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord hath wrought power. The right hand of the Lord hath exalted me; the right hand of the Lord hath wrought power. I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord hath sore chastened me; but He hath not given me over unto death. Open unto me the gates of righteousness, and entering therein, I will confess the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter therein. I will confess thee because thou hast heard me and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner. This is of the Lord, and it is wondrous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad on it. O Lord, save now; O Lord, pros per now. Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord; we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. God is the Lord that hath revealed Himself unto us; prepare a festival with thick branches, even unto the horns of the altar. Thou art my God, and I will confess thee; thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will confess thee, because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. O confess unto the Lord, for He is good, for his mercy is for ever.
